Peter T Knowles
Ocularist / Prosthetist
Peter Knowles has extensive ocular prosthetics expertise from his training in UK, Canada, US and Australia. He carries more than 20 years of experience in custom prosthetic eyes, servicing the major hospitals and Women and Children’s Hospital in South Australia.
He practices at the Adelaide Artificial Eye & Body Prostheses Clinic in North Adelaide, South Australia. In addition to holding the position of oral & maxillofacial body prosthetist with the South Australian northern regional health department, he is also a consultant ocularist at Sunway Medical Centre.
Peter Knowles is a founding member of the Ocularists Association of Australia and is the association’s current President. He has been involved in research programmes and trials to develop and improve all aspects of ocular prosthetic treatments and services.

Ms. Melanie Yeoh
Orthoptics
Specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of amblyopia (lazy eye) and strabismus (squint / crossed eye), Ms. Melanie is a uniquely trained eye care professional who works very well with children. She provides the visual rehabilitation for children (pre-verbal and verbal) as well as those with special needs through the lens of compassion.
She helps patients who complain of double vision due to eye muscle problems and prescribes prism glasses or occlusion. She also deals with disorders of the visual system with an emphasis on binocular vision (orthoptics) and eye movements.
She carefully adapts her testing procedures to suit the individual and make them feel comfortable during the consultation and treatment.
Education & Training: Degree in Orthoptics (La Trobe University, Melbourne), Eye Department (Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore)
